Singer-songwriter Li Jimu is currently a sophomore studying electronic music production/composition at the International Department of the Communication University of China.
A self-described “chubby and passionate music-lover” from Beijing, her determination to live life manifests through her work:
“When writing this song at first, I wanted to use anthropomorphic methods to describe the love story I experienced. This story is about the flat-faced cat from the second floor of a tea house occasionally strolling to see the handsome cat from the tea house on the opposite side of the street. The whole song arrangement is supposed to be simple and comfortable. You can imagine the scene where you are sitting in a café, listening to this sweet spring song.”
Li Jimu explores different music styles to produce a sound that resonates with the idea of independence. Excluding the guitarist, the average age of members in the band doesn’t exceed 20 years old.
