The song is about the main character "me" in the story, who was forced to be sent into a mental health hospital. A patient named "Wang Jianjun" inside the mental health hospital told “me” a story that happened somewhere, some night.
As a participant of the story, Wang Jianjun recalled the story with his perspective. The music in the song goes along with the storyline and Wang Jianjun’s testimony. At the beginning of the song, an alert went on at night -- Whammy used guitar music to start the night. As music goes by, blues music shows the intensity by using the diminished fifth chords. Whatsmore, the second theme implements the sound of shooting through guitar music. The most exciting part was presented by a dramatic bomb, along with a passage of fast metal music. It ends with trumpet music to express the final scene at midnight.
The Jade-Breaking Plan For Liberty was founded in Chengdu in 2017. The style of the band was influenced by alternative rock, post funk, and even classical music. The band leader stated,
"For me, marketing is complicated. Maybe there is lots of cheating on it. I am not sure. However, the only kind of marketing I am interested in is music, and music is the only way that The Jade-Breaking Plan For Liberty does its marketing. I try my best to write some good songs, and this is the kind of marketing I am willing to do."
This song is the sixth story of the sixth song of the album, The Story of the Ocean. The name of the album, The Story of the Ocean, comes from Whammy’s novel. As a writer, Whammy created a story of someone woke up in the bottom of the ocean one day, and eventually, that person left the ocean. The story is also being presented on the cover of the album -- A person sink in the bottom of dark-blue ocean.
