"Puff" is the latest single released by the 8 Immortals Restaurant, which is a contagious song that can be seen all over the music platforms. The lead singer’s voice creates an ethereal atmosphere that makes the listeners feel like they were engulfed in smoke. Overall, the tune is not complicated, accompanied by guitar plucking; and the lyrics are delightful, it's like a poem and yet not a poem. It's like whispering but not really. Like a piece of not polished complete jade, real and interesting, There is no concealment and self-confidence at all, and the excitement of escape is quite rare.
At the beginning of 2021, 8 Immortals Restaurant released their first DIY album Inauguration of the Pleasure Dome, inspired by Kenneth Anger's namesake movie--all about the absurd observations and the projection of dreams, which fictionalized a group portrait of the quirky Orientals.
Eight Immortals restaurant is an indie rock band based in Beijing. This band is composed of three veteran musicians: Wang Fan (vocals), Dong Lin (guitar) and Yan Mingchen (bass).They are obsessed with different music, Oriental psychedelic, old blues and soul dance music were masterful at constructing bizarre scenes with sound and word play. As a relatively young band, they've had their fair share of success: UTC+8 Circuits Fresh Pitch had 22 overseas consultants from different countries audit all the tracks and write references for the musicians they were impressed with. They received 271 groups of bands/musicians to sign up for this activity, and only 31 groups of artists were selected for the album. Ba Xian Hotel is one of them, which shows that their strength can not be underestimated.
